Family is where we receive the blessings of love
and learn to sow the seeds of our dreams.
It is a place to come home to for renewal
and feel our oneness with the world.
Family is a sacred place to express our love,
compassion, inspiration, doubt, and joy.

Humanity, thou art my family.
I honor you and strive to live my life
from the truth within my heart .. .
Love begins with me.

A Child's Journey

Too soon you will move away from me.
A parent's time of sadness is a child's dawn of life.
For this I am happy.
After loving, guiding, and setting you free little by little,
I will, with reservation, watch you to take your adult flight.
You will begin your journey into ego, opportunity, and optimism.
I remember the pain your journey will bring.
Wishing I could take it away; knowing I must not.
For in the pain growth and learning reside;
bringing you to your rightful path.
You are far greater than you could ever know
One day, no longer able to protect you,
I must send you forth into life.
I will pass to you Your Coat of Adulthood.
You will wear this coat, though it cannot be seen.
I pray it will guide, protect, and give you strength.
